“Alaska Daily”, the TV series about #MMIP coverage by an Anchorage newspaper starring Hilary Swank, was cancelled by ABC this month. Rhonda McBride from our flagship station KNBA caught up with one of the show’s writers, Vera Starbard (Tlingit/Denaʼaina), in this special feature from National Native News.
I do not like it that alaska daily has been canceled. It shows that indigenous women have been a victim of crime in the alaskan area and was something that probably most of the united states did not know about. Instead of bringing this problem to light I feel that the producers or the film company is only looking to get Money. And is not really interested in helping with this problem.
